Hey All!!!

I just wanted to quick check in with you all and let you know all is good...I'm checking in from Grand Rapids, MN the birthplace of Judy Garland! The kids and I have been on vacation since June 30th, and Don was with us until July 10th and then rejoined us on the 23rd. We are still on vacation and having a great time! Unfortunately though, I haven't had Internet access until this weekend so I haven't been able to post....and yes it's been difficult for me not being able to surf the net like I normally would. I have had my iPhone to check email, Facebook and minimal Internet but I cannot post to my blog from it....trust me I've tried and just about launched my cell phone out of extreme frustration! :)

Sorry this is brief but just wanted to let you know all is good and I'll check back in when I can! Now I must sign off to get ready for my cousin's wedding today! Congratulations Angelo & Alyssa!!

1st WIN!!

Hip Hip Hooray....Nico's team finally one a game today!! After a very LONG season of losses and rain-outs they finally won one!! It also helped that the other team only had 6 players show up and we had to play outfield for them! :)

We are thinking the win is one of three things or a culmination of all:
  1. We played at a different ball park
  2. Our friend's the Catons came for the 1st time (thanks for coming!)
  3. The fact that they only had 6 players
Regardless, we will take the W!!! He has two games left and hopefully we can pull off a couple more wins!

Hey!!

Just wanted to quick say HI to you all!
Life has been crazy, and now I'm to the point where I'm feeling overwhelmed with my blog posts...lots to say but don't know where to start. Which is why I decided to start with HI...I figured this may jump start me back into the swing of things (that is until I'm on vacation in 12 days with limited internet, but I'll figure something out)!

Miss you...Kisses...

Wordless (or mostly) Wednesday

Out on the O'Connor's boat/lake (Sun, 5/31)....

Laying on My Back

So it's finally summer, I'm excited for all of the fun things that summer has to offer, I may finally have time to blog, and what do I do tonight...screw up my back, that's what! I cannot believe this has happened (although not the 1st time) and am praying it will get better quickly.

Here is how it all played out, but you're gonna get the long version because my back hurts and can't really sleep so I'm may ramble!

Anyway, Don was out of town for football camp in KC and I was left on single parent duty. Nico was supposed to have a baseball game tonight, so I got all of the kids fed & out the door. We get to the ball park only to learn that all games for the evening were cancelled due to the storm that was rolling in (great call because not more then 5 minutes later did the heavens open up on us). I decide since it's summer break and we have nothing to do then movies and ice cream it would be for our evening.

I went to the store grabbed three movies and the fixings for our ice cream and headed on home (oh & I should add that by the time we got home it looked like I had taken a shower...I was SOAKED). We finally sat down to watch the movies at about 8PM (minus Bail because she went to a friend's to sleep over). We 1st watched Mall Cop...it was alright but funny enough for an impromptu movie night. Don & I then put the kids down and watched He's Just Not That Into You...good chick for sure  I think Don liked it.

We finally started the trek to bed around 2AM...in typical mom fashion I start straightening up the path to bed. Now if you're a mom you know what I mean...you grab things that have been left lying around & out of place, clothing that have been strewn everywhere. Well there were a few things left on the steps so I bent over to get them (apparently at an odd angle) and WHAM...the back was NOT happy. It hurt so much that I couldn't even walk up the stairs...Don had to come help me up the stairs and help me maneuver my butt into bed (quite a sight to see I might add).

So here I am now, it's almost 3AM and I'm stuck laying on my back in pain...thank the Lord that I took a nap today!

Oh crap I have to go the bathroom! What to do....hmmm?????

I Have a Need for a Thoughts Machine!

All I have time want say is that we need to come together people and create a mechanism that I can put on my head that will put my thoughts in written form...seriously! I have the desire to blog, really I do, but my schedule has been SO RIDICULOUSLY CRAZY that all I seem to have time/brain power for is quick updates via Facebook. Which bums me out because this blog is my/our family journal and I missing some big thing here.

Hmm...what if I start blogging Facebook style...just come on here and give quick update/snippets of what's going on??? What do you think about that? I'm going to put up a poll and I want to hear from all of you on what you  think I should do?

Happy 7th Birthday Olivia

Outstanding
Loving
Imaginative
Vivacious

I can't believe that yet another year has gone by already and now our Miss Olivia is 7 years old. Our little sweetie pie, Olivia, was born 7 years ago on May 13, 2002 as our smallest baby weighing 8lbs, 7oz., and has been a total joy to have in our lives ever since. She is a very sweet, loving, cuddly, passionate, caring, kind-hearted and energetic child that always has a smile on her face (with the exception of being woke up as stated in the bathroom post)!

She truly is a princess..
Happy 7th Birthday Liva Duece!!!
WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH OLIVIA!! We are so very proud of you and so thankful to be able to call you ours!!!
