This past year was completely and utterly crazy busy. I remember when the kids where younger (and I had fewer) I would be in awe of my friends with older children and the amount of running that they did. At the time I thought to myself 'I just don't think our lives could ever get that crazy'...well I was WRONG. Here we are several years and four children later and we are "that" family.
I do blame myself for the hectic year that we had. I have admitted this several times before but I'll say it again...I have a hard time saying NO. With this deficit brings nutty crazy schedules. But I've always believed that everything happens for a reason so maybe just maybe it all had a purpose.
For instance: Two of the things that made this past school year so crazy were the positions that I took on at the kid's school. The 1st one was a recess supervisor. I went into school everyday (originally it was only supposed to be 3 days but you know the whole saying no deficit I have) from the hours of 10:30 am to 1pm, and two of those three days Bella was able to come with me. The 2nd position that I took on at school was an after school child care provider two days a week from the hours of 3:15-5:15pm. This position also allowed me to have all of the kids with me. Now as I reflect on those positions and my 'everything happens for a reason' belief, I think it may have been to help myself and Bella transition into Kindergarten this school year. She was able to have an in depth look into the day in the life at school and give her a comfort and excitement about going to school. So, for that I am very grateful and comforted as I know she gets how it all works at school.
In addition to those two jobs that I had this year, I also worked (and still do) at the gym that Olivia does gymnastics at...I work this position two days a week and love it. It allows me to have my adult time, make some cash and gives Olivia so comfort knowing that mom is here while she is there for 4 hours a day 3 days a week.
I'm going to end this post here because it's 2:35am and I can't keep my eyes anymore, but I will be back!
